Recenty, the current WBC/WBA super/WBO heavyweight champion, Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14KO), told the media that he believes Terence Crawford (41-0, 31KO) will defeat Saul Alvarez (61-2-2, 39KO), despite being at a physical disadvantage.

Usyk said: "I like Crawford, he is a crazy person, and Crawford will win. Crawford is different, he can fight with both the left and right stance, he is smart, and he controls the distance well. Alvarez is solid compared to Crawford and is also very excellent, but I predict Crawford will win, just like a big boxer who can control Alvarez."

Saudi tycoon Al-Arakhah said: "I think Crawford doesn't want to fight anyone other than Alvarez now. This is what I think, but it is true. We have offered Crawford a match against Virgil Ortiz (22-0, 21KO), but we don't know if he will accept. If Crawford doesn't fight, we will arrange other opponents for Ortiz. I understand that Crawford only wants to challenge Alvarez now, and I respect all boxers."

Alvarez will have to wait until September 14th to finish the fight against Edgar Berlanga (22-0, 17KO) before considering his next fight, and Crawford can only wait patiently. The issue of compensation may be the point of contention in negotiations, as Alvarez is asking for $150 million, but Al-Arakhah estimates that he can only offer $100 million.
